Itinerary

Karibu – Welcome to Tanzania!

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be greeted and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha, your home for the first two nights. Take some time to relax and settle in or explore the accommodation and its surroundings at your own pace. In the evening, you will enjoy a delicious dinner at the accommodation to start your Tanzanian adventure.

Today, you start with going to a local market, followed by a visit to a local Tanzanian mama’s home, where you take part in a hands-on cooking experience and prepare a delicious home-style lunch together. After cooking, you sit down and enjoy the meal you’ve made. In the afternoon, you head to a nearby coffee farm to learn about the full “bean-to cup” journey. You discover how coffee is grown, harvested, and processed, and then you will roast and prepare your own fresh cup of coffee to enjoy.

In the morning you set off for Tarangire National Park, famous for its huge elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. During your game drive, you look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a wide variety of birds. With some luck, you will also spot lions, leopards, or other predators resting in the shade or hunting in the open savannah. Around midday you stop for a scenic picnic lunch inside the park.

After lunch, you continue your safari drive before leaving the park and heading toward the cooler highlands of Karatu to the Lodge where you’ll be staying for tonight.

In the morning, you drive through the stunning Ngorongoro Highlands, enjoying the sweeping views as you make your way to Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you will have a game drive across the Ndutu plains, where you may spot herds of wildebeest, zebras, and possibly lions or cheetahs on the hunt. In the afternoon, you explore the Seronera region, the heart of the Serengeti, known for its abundant wildlife and big cat sightings. The day will end with a breathtaking Serengeti sunset, painting the endless plains in golden light. You will have dinner at the Lodge.

At dawn, you set out on a morning game drive, when predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs are most active. You watch the sun rise over the plains as the savannah comes to life. The rest of the day, you explore the Serengeti’s incredible wildlife, from herds of wildebeest and zebras to elephants, giraffes, and countless birds. Your guide will share insights into the animals and their habitats. In the evening you’ll have dinner again at the lodge.

You begin your day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, taking in the sights of its abundant wildlife and vast plains. Afterward, you head toward the Ngorongoro Highlands, enjoying the stunning landscapes and keeping an eye out for animals along the way. The journey offers incredible photo opportunities as you pass through scenic hills and valleys. In the evening, you will settle in and spend the night at a Lodge in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, surrounded by the beauty of nature.

After an early breakfast, you descend into the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You go on a game drive through this natural wonder, where you have the rare opportunity to spot the Big Five in a single day. After a picnic lunch, you will make your way back to Arusha and be dropped off at your accommodation, full of unforgettable memories.

Enjoy your last breakfast at your accommodation. Today, there are no more activities planned. You will have time to pack and prepare for your departure. Later, you will be driven to the airport, where your journey either continues individually or takes you back home.
